This program is an important step in equipping people with the information and abilities required to establish a long-term career in the solar sector.

The first-ever workshop on Training and Capacity Building needs across the Green Hydrogen Value Chain was successfully organized on 14th August 2024. This landmark event brought together industry experts, policymakers, and professionals to discuss skill development, workforce training, and technological advancements in Green Hydrogen. It aimed to bridge knowledge gaps, foster innovation, and support India’s transition toward a sustainable hydrogen economy through structured training programs and capacity-building initiatives.
The short-term training on Solar PV Installer (Suryamitra) has been successfully completed, benefiting around 7,200 candidates as of 31st December 2024. This program provided hands-on solar installation skills, technical expertise, and industry knowledge, creating employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the renewable energy sector. By equipping a skilled workforce, this initiative supports solar energy adoption and sustainability, contributing to India’s clean energy mission and green job creation.
